Just got back from our second stay at 'Kerr of Sabul' and it just gets better. We had a wonderful time being back there again, (we are not the types who normally return to a holiday destination), but this place causes us to break the rules! We did more trips out and about, spent more time on the beach, and enjoyed the villa as much if not more than before. The guys are constantly doing things to keep this place moving forwards. It has to be seen to be believed, and all in such a great, friendly, genuine and caring country." (Nov '11)

This Villa way out-reached any expectations that we had. When booking from the UK it's a gamble as to what you actually get when you arrive in resort, however all fears can be set a side when booking this Villa.
The facilities and space are fantastic and the pool is a must on hot sticky afternoons, there is a small local shop just to the rear of the Villa which is run by Haggis and his family, it has a good range of stock for sale at great prices.
If you are looking for a quiet and tranquil holiday just a 5 minutes stroll from a gorgeous beach then this Villa is a must and is highly recommended. We hope to return to The Gambia in the next couple of years and we will definately be re-booking this Villa.
Many thanks to all who made our holiday a truely memerable one. (Feb '11)

The villa was beyond expectations, after a day of exploring The Gambia it was fine to have a place where we could relax, rest, swim. The staff is very helpful and kindly. All in and about the villa was even better than on the website. Also a good restaurant, and some small shops within 50 meters are very attractive. Thanks for this very nice holiday. (Jan '11)

We certainly enjoyed the villa, in fact we had a better holiday this time than the last. Going back to your villa took all the pre holiday uncertainty away and we arrived relaxed and chilled. That state of mind that continued throughout our stay with the help of Haggis and his family. We were able to take extra luggage for charity with us and due to the proximity of the local schools we had a great time taking useful items to them. The home from home feeling was shared when a local family I have known for 15 years came over and cooked for us whilst the three children enjoyed the pool and garden, memories that will add to my life forever. A serious thank-you for sharing your home again and I only hope that I can book it again next December. (Dec '10)

Amazing!! Everything was as it says on the site. Haggis and the team can not do enough to help, balanced well with leaving guests alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. However they are always there if you need them. Trips out seemed like an effort when its so nice by the pool but are so worth it. The country is amazing with so much to see that you will not see elsewhere. Gambians are the most friendly nation we have ever met, they love to help and 'hassle' is very minimal. Everywhere we went felt very safe even at night. The perfect holiday mixing relaxing by the pool and going out on adventures with Haggis! We are going back for sure!! (Nov '10)

I booked the villa for a month and did not want to leave. Thanks to everyone at the villa! The only word to describe my stay is perfect! This is definitely the best place to stay in The Gambia! Everything about the villa was amazing. I have previously stayed in hotels in The Gambia and can honestly say that my experience at the villa topped them all. Every aspect of the villa is wonderful. Haggis and the team are always ready to help with anything and could not do enough for us. The location is also great! The beach is a stroll away and Senegambia a short taxi ride. The added bonus of the villa, is that you get to see the real Gambia and meet so many friendly locals that you may not get the chance to meet if staying in a hotel. The grounds of the villa are immaculate and make the perfect surroundings for a relaxing day by the pool (which is also fantastic)! The villa is extremely spacious and could not have been designed in a better way. I will definitely be returning to the Kerr of Sabal! Best holiday ever! (May '10)

Brilliant transfer with cold Julbrew in hand, back of landrover, blowing the 'cobwebs' of all left behind. Beautiful villa - well placed within Brufut for peace & quiet away from the 'touristy' places but within easy access for them if necessary.
Staff very helpful with any requests and advice.
Good visitors book should you want any tips on restaurants/bars/trips.
Recommended if want the true 'Gambian Experience' with abit of luxury!!! (March '10)

The villa exceeded any expectations we had. The pool was fantastic, both in size and cleanliness. Coupled with the sun terrace used at night for coffee and views the Villa exterior was to be enjoyed. It is therefore great to be able to state the interior was even better; the sitting and sleeping areas offered a real laid back spacious feeling that added to the holiday. Outside we were a short walk to our own beach bar run by William, a local guy who could not do enough for us. A short walk south and we were drinking iced coffee in the Sheraton Hotel, a slightly longer walk north and we were in the Senegambia strip for lunch. We even cycled back from Kotu and the guys collected our bikes from the villa that evening for a total cost of 150 Delaisis. The locals seemed to recognise the fact we were not hotel based and we were treated with a lot of respect, none of the regular hassle experienced outside hotels and great deals on Taxis. Having stayed in Kiaraba, Senegambia , Kombo and Bungalow beach during my 12 previous visits to the Gambia i am genuinely shocked to report this was my best visit ever to the Gambia. (Dec '09)

We had a fab time at your villa and really enjoyed the company of all the staff. We will be keeping in touch with them. They all worked hard but we liked it best when we all chilled out in the shade and chatted. It was my friend's first trip to the Gambia and she is definitely going back, she really enjoyed the company of the staff.
Thanks for everything and we may be contacting you again in the future. I hope the staff felt relaxed with us.
Best wishes and kind regards. (October 09)

Anyway we had an fantasic vacation in the villa. The house is great and Haggis, Isatoe and Junior were fantastic people.
You ever have tryed the bbq from Junior? Fantastic!!!! ! The pool also was very fine. We had the time of our life. A few times rain but thats
normal for the time of year.
We even find a taxidriver (local) who know the villa now and is much cheaper then the tourist taxi. It is a very reliable taxi
and de chauffeur will bring you evrywere you like.
He drives very carefully and we don't have too wait for more than 15 minutes till he arrives.( we put the number in the book).
We defenetly want to come back too the villa. (June/July 2009)

The holiday was great and the villa is fantastic - even better than it looks on the internet. Everyone was really friendly and helpful too.
In fact, was hoping you'd be able to do me a favour - Nikki has promised to ship out a huge wooden carving we bought (like you're african man with antelope but bigger!) and I don't think we have his phone number. Also, I know Haggis is hoping to come visit you this summer. We told him he'd be more than welcome for a weekend in brighton - just wanted to pass on that that's a genuine offer in case he worries about contacting us.
We went to Lamin lodge on one day and then to see Charlie the Croc which was a good day. Haggis's uncle took us out fishing on a boat down at the beach which was great. The best meal was the barbecue that haggis did with the fish we caught. (May'09)

Steve and Amanda, fantastic couple who designed and had built this absolutely, fantastic villa. From the beautiful swimming pool to having breakfast on the roof terrace (breakfast will never be like that again), the interior layout as my daughters said " superbly divine". The birdlife in the garden and the lizards and saw my first for gambia a small chameleon, laying by the pool surrounded by flowers every colour you can think of, bannana trees, so many fruit trees . Then to the very kind and caring staff who want to help your holiday in any way they can, we as a family cannot speak highly enough of this Villa/the staff/ the owners. (April '09)

We found the villa very well appointed, spacious, clean, comfortable and a great base for enjoying the Gambia, allowing us to dip into excursions when we felt like it, and also letting us benefit from the seclusion of patio, pool and terrace in the warm sun when we just wanted to have time and space by ourselves.
Thanks so much for organising the villa package in such a thoughtful and helpful way. And the staff were terrific, especially Haggis, who is an absolute gem. (March '09)

On behalf of my Family, I would like to thank you very much for the use of your lovely Villa. Just what the doctor ordered, very relaxing, the right location. Everything about it was excellent.
As my wife is Gambian, it was very easy for us to communicate with the helpers at the villa. All of them are very kind and very hard working. Ida was wonderful and she is a big asset to your villa. (Feb 09)

What a holiday! Just fabulous, the area and position of the villa in brufut was spot on, right alongside the gambian people.
Within hours we had made friends with many and their children, such nice people.
Over the road to the beach, which we called PARADISE, within mins of arriving there, the guys working the bar etc. could not do enough for us and we were instantly taken as friends. Not over used the beach but who cares-just great.
Evening time 7.00pm, picked up and taken to Sengambia for the evening to eat etc.
Plenty of good places to eat, we found food very good. We could go on forever about the Gambia and at the end of our week we all agreed it was probably the best holiday we have had. Even the goats were our friends!!
Thanks to the staff at the villa, very nice and helpful people.
One of the highlights was when we were welcomed at the local school and spent some time with teachers and pupils, unbelievable.

To let you know we really enjoyed our month's stay at your villa. Everything was perfect, the villa is beautifully decorated and has everything anyone would need, it was heaven laying by the pool surrounded by the gorgeous flowers and listening to the birds.
The staff are amazing, they are all a credit to you and added so much enjoyment to our holiday. A special thankyou for Haggis, the manager, Sey (spelling???) the day watchman/pool guy and the cleaner Ida for helping to make our stay magical.
Will definitely recommend Kerr of Sabal to others and hope to return again soon. (Jan 09)
